Washington State
Sales tax and B&O, done from your books
Washington taxes sales where the customer receives the goods or service, and taxes gross receipts through B&O. RiverBooks keeps both straight as you work, so the combined excise return is a review, not a project.
The right rate for every job
RiverBooks looks up the Department of Revenue location code and rate for the job's address, not your billing address, and refreshes DOR's rate tables every quarter.
B&O by classification
Each product or service carries its B&O classification (retailing, wholesaling, service and other activities, and more), and the small business B&O credit is worked out for you.
The return, prepared
For each filing period RiverBooks builds the combined excise return from your invoices, lets you review every line, and produces the file you upload to My DOR.
Due dates and payments
Monthly, quarterly or annual: RiverBooks follows your filing frequency, shows what's due when, and records the payment in your books once you've paid DOR.
RiverBooks prepares; you file. You review the return and submit it in My DOR yourself, and RiverBooks never pays the Department of Revenue on your behalf.
